Welcome to the official website of the dynamic and distinguished ladies of The Federal City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc. (TheFCAC). I serve as the 19th President of this Dynamic Chapter.
TheFCAC was chartered on December 6, 1969 by 26 visionary women and has grown to a sisterhood of over 800 members, dedicated to enriching the lives of Washington D.C. residents for over 53 years. We are honored to be the home of the Regional Director and Regional Representative for the Historic Eastern Region for the 2022-2024 biennium.
Since our chartering, we have given thousands of dollars in scholarships to D.C. students and have infused thousands of community service hours into the DC Community. Our programs focus on our Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness & Involvement, Physical & Mental Health and Political Awareness & Involvement.
If you are a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc and you need a chapter home, we welcome you to visit us at a monthly chapter meeting or any of our events. I promise we have something for every soror as we are a “large chapter with a small chapter feel”.
If you are a member of the community, we look forward to seeing you at our various events throughout the city. We are prepared to meet the demands of a changing Washington DC and changing times. Our chapter works with numerous community partners and welcome new opportunities to work with other like-minded organizations in the community to bring quality programs and services to grow our reach in the areas we serve as well as raise funds for our scholarship program.
