On Saturday, December 1, We (the Ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.) are participating in the 32nd annual Walk & 5K to End HIV benefiting the HIV programs and services of Whitman-Walker Health. We hope that you will support us in our goal of raising funds for this important cause.
HIV remains an epidemic in D.C. and Whitman-Walker Health focuses on services and education designed to prevent transmission of the virus and provide care to those who are infected. The Walk & 5K to End HIV is a vital part of ensuring they have the resources to continue their support of at-risk and HIV-positive populations.
That’s why we are raising funds through this year’s Walk & 5K. Your donation will go toward lifesaving services that Whitman-Walker Health provides for thousands of men and women in our area living with HIV and AIDS—regardless of their ability to pay. And you will help fund critical prevention outreach and treatment programs that can help end HIV in D.C.
