2019 Scholarship Application

The FCAC pledges to enrich the lives of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area through service. The FCAC Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to African-American, District of Columbia high school students in the pursuit of a baccalaureate degree. In addition to supporting students, the program also supports Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and minority scholarship programs at majority institutions, nationally and in our service area. The objective of the program is to provide scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors who have excelled academically, demonstrated leadership, and contributed their talents to the improvement of their community through service.

The FCAC awards scholarships in the following categories:

  • The Historically Black College & University Scholarship Program (HBCU) Scholarship will be awarded to African- American students attending any accredited HBCU as a full-time student in the upcoming academic year.
  • The non-HBCU Scholarship will be awarded to African- American students attending any (non-HBCU) accredited college or university as a full-time student in the upcoming academic year.
  • The Book Scholarship will be awarded to a select number of applicants to fund purchase of books to students attending any accredited HBCU or non-HBCU as a full-time student in the upcoming academic year.
