Scholarships

The chapter will award 4 scholarships as follows:
Ø (2) Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) to a student attending any accredited college or university, maximum award $5,000.
Ø (2) HBCU Scholarships to a student attending any accredited HBCU, maximum $2,000.

To be considered for any scholarship, the applicant must:
Ø be a permanent resident of the
Ø be a graduating senior from a public or charter high school in the
Ø plan to enter an accredited four-year university or college as a full-time freshman in the Fall of 2009, and
Ø complete the application as prescribed by the instructions herein.
In addition:
Ø to be considered for the AES, the applicant must have a scholastic average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale, or
Ø to be considered for the HBCU scholarship, the applicant must have a scholastic average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
