Emerging Artist Program

The Federal City Alumnae Chapter’s Emerging Artist Program was developed to assist local artists and performers garner recognition throughout the metro Washington, DC community.  Through networking, sponsorship, and formal talent presentation, our program further supports one of the tenets of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., which is to:  "….support and advance artists, especially African American women, in their efforts to compose, write, direct, choreograph or conceptualize new contributions in their respective fields." This program gives local artists an opportunity to showcase their talents to the public at large as well as to representatives of various arts organizations.

This year’s Emerging Artist Program will be held on  April 10, 2010 at a metro Washington, DC location to be announced at a later date.
